iMogul is an AI-powered platform that helps bring film and TV projects to life by letting creators upload scripts, generate insights, and share projects for community discovery and feedback. It’s built to support early-stage development and decision-making before money is spent in production.

iMogul is for screenwriters and producers developing projects, and for audiences who want to discover and support projects early. Each group can participate in different ways based on their account type and features enabled.

Yes—an account is required to browse iMogul. You also need an account to vote, so we can protect the integrity of results.

Log in, go to Pro Dashboard, and tap + New Project to choose your script from the file browser. Check “Please review and accept our screenwriter upload agreement” (you only need to accept this once—it covers all future uploads). Then tap Analyze your script.

You can upload .txt, .docx, and .pdf files. PDF is recommended because it’s most likely to preserve proper screenplay formatting (for example, a Final Draft script exported to PDF).

Uploads must be 10MB or less, PDFs cannot be password-protected, and screenplays should not include embedded pictures/images. If your file meets the requirements, it may be a connection issue—try again on a stronger network or after restarting the app.

When you publish, the following becomes visible: logline, elevator pitch, mini-synopsis, casting choices, director and cinematographer choices, and the first 20 pages of your script. The first 20 pages are protected against screen recording and snapshots.

Yes—keep your project in Draft mode to use the tools privately. However, publishing is how you let audiences, producers, and investors know your project exists, and it enables users to vote on casting, director, and cinematographer choices.

Once published, your script’s public-facing elements (like the logline/synopsis and any enabled modules) become visible to the iMogul community.

1. Tap Pro Dashboard on the nav bar.
2. Find Publish Status.
3. Select Draft and change to Published.
4. Select Save at the top.

Once published, anyone with an iMogul account can see your script. If you share your script with someone outside iMogul, they’ll need to download the app and create an account to view it.

Yes—you can move a script from Published back to Draft. It will no longer be visible to users, but all votes and ratings are kept.

Yes—scripts can be deleted after you Archive them, then confirm by typing DELETE; once deleted, all associated information is permanently removed. If you delete your account, all of your scripts and related data (including analysis, votes, and market info) are deleted.

Nothing special happens—it will simply display under the new title.

No—your script remains 100% yours, and iMogul does not claim ownership of your work. iMogul is designed to help you get discovered and build momentum; any platform terms around visibility, participation, and potential commercial outcomes are described in the EULA/Terms, which you should review.

It’s up to you, but many writers choose to register with the WGA East or WGA West) and/or file a U.S. Copyright before broadly sharing a script anywhere. iMogul lets you upload in Draft to keep your project private while you decide, and you can publish when you’re ready for visibility and voting. If you live outside the U.S., your script is typically protected automatically the moment it’s created under the Berne Convention, but you may still choose to register locally and/or in the U.S. depending on where you plan to do business and enforce your rights; this isn’t legal advice—if you’re unsure, talk to an entertainment attorney.

No—we do not train AI models on your uploaded scripts. We use AI to generate insights that help you position and market your project to the right audience and make it easier to pitch to friends, family, producers, agents, and investors.

Other iMogul users can view what you choose to make visible (for example, your published project info and the protected preview pages). Producers will be able to review relevant high-level information to help decide what to pursue, and may reach out to request to read the full script directly from you.

Report suspected infringement through iMogul Support by submitting a DMCA notice with your contact info, the content you own, the link/title of the allegedly infringing content, and a brief statement that you believe it’s unauthorized. We’ll review the request and take appropriate action consistent with our DMCA policy and Terms.

1. Open the script (or your profile).
2. Tap the Share button (a box-with-arrow icon on iOS).
3. Choose how you want to share (Text, Email, Copy Link, Social, etc.).

If your script is Published, they’ll see the title, logline, mini-synopsis, casting/director/cinematographer choices (for voting), and the first 20 pages of the script. If your script is Draft, they won’t be able to view it.

Yes—sharing sends a link. If they don’t have the app, they’ll be directed to the App Store to download iMogul; if they already have the app and are logged in, the link will open directly to your script.

First, confirm you have a solid internet connection and that your iOS and iMogul app are up to date. Try closing the app completely and reopening it, then sign in again using the same method you originally used (Apple vs Google).

Force-close the app and reopen it, then restart your device. If it still happens, delete iMogul and reinstall it from the App Store.

iMogul will auto-update if you have automatic updates enabled on your device. We recommend keeping auto-updates on so you always get the latest features, fixes, and improvements

iMogul currently supports iOS devices only. Android is on the way, and the exact minimum iOS version is listed on the iMogul App Store page.
